Hi everyone,
I have a iMac7,1 and a Home Theater that only does Component video (A/V Receiver, and TV.)
This is what i have done so far,
First I purchased and plugged in to my iMac the VGA Dongle, then i purchased a 20ft VGA to Component wire. I plugged in the component to my A/V reciever which is the routing to my TV.
I was told from other apple enthusiasts that the diplay would automatically detect the new display and WahLa! everyhing should work.
But nothing happens. Im thinking that its not syncing because it has the component conversion but im not sure. Can this be done?
Or does this mean i need to get with the times and buy a new TV with HDMI
My current setup is an original Plasma TV its a 63" that does 720P so the tv looks good still but it would look better if my iMac would work on it.
Any Thoughts?
