Hi. I saw the announcement today regarding Sonos' release of the Port product to replace the old Connect. The primary appeal of this is that it now has Airplay 2. I had tried a Connect pre-Airplay 2 and ended up returning it as it had synchronization issues with other Sonos speakers.

Since that time, with the release of Airplay 2, I think I may now have the same capabilities -- e.g., ability to stream music to my home receiver via Airplay 2 -- just via my AppleTV 4K. However, I don't believe I have an HDMI-CEC capable receiver, so I think I also need to manually turn on the receiver.

The Port has a 12V trigger connection, which seemingly overcomes that. But beyond that, is there something more the Port would offer me? Thoughts?

Thanks!

once nice thing, if you have other Sonos speakers without airplay, You can group the non-airplay speakers with the port, and airplay from your phone to the entire house using the Port as a "bridge" of sorts.
