Probably look through Amazon. They have some interesting stuff. If you're looking for certain metals (like Titanium) they have a range, even black titanium. I've seen some fairly cool stuff reasonably priced.

That said, I tend to just live and sleep in my earrings (nine to each side, started when I was 19 and I'm 54 now) so I don't often look for new stuff. Most of my earrings have been in there for years now (except when taken out for cleaning).

I'll second Amazon, I've gotten a number of the earrings that I regularly wear there. Etsy is also a solid choice if you're looking for something a little more niche. I have six in each ear, and they're mostly a mix of Amazon and Etsy with a few from my mother sprinkled in. Simple studs and simple hoops work well with just about anything, they go well enough dressed up at work or in a tank top while working out. Make sure to get Titanium or surgical steel, not something poop that he might have a reaction to.

Yeah, I discovered around the first cartilage piercing that Titanium is all my ears will accept for piercing studs at least. Once everything is healed, I can use something else. But I do have a mix of bargain basement costume hoops and titanium. Just depends on when I'm buying.

Without titanium piercing studs though, the battle to fight infection in my piercings is on.

The only cartilage one I've done so far is the side of my nose, though I do plan on working my way up the ears at some point! I've pierced everything with Titanium, though like you, I've changed a number of them out since.
