I am installing Catalina right now. I have a MBP Mid 2012 but with 8GB of RAM and a 500GB SD drive so the Mac is quite snappy or has been on Mojave.

It has been running great throughout the betas on my MBP mid 2012 16GB 1TB SSD 2.7GHz. I will be doing a fresh install via USB later tonite though.
