This is for UK based Mac users having trouble with AOL and Airport wireless.
After I upgraded from Jaguar I found that I for the life of me couldn't get my airport system and AOL to work properly as they had before. So I searched threads, left postings for help etc. But all to no avail. Resigned myself to having an essentially usless airport system. Today by luck I cracked it.
I had been setting up AOL using the ' airport' option in there setup procedure ( maked sense to me!). But when I logged all I could do was to read / send emails. I couldn't browse the web, either in AOL or any other browser.
Today for some reason I decided to setup using ' TCP/IP ' option, and voila - it all worked fine -- after all these years!!!! ( this my sound obvious to people who really know computers - but for the likes of me ( experienced novice )........
