Hoping phone gets here launch day!

Bummer I couldn't get the phone on the 17th!
I was a bit confused however. Order status shows the order ships in 6-8 days but delivery date is sept 27-29. I thought Apple overnight end iPhones?
I know Apple sometimes ships things before their said window -hope that happens again!

I ordered my phone 2 minutes after launch and the date was Sept. 23 - 30th

I got a 3:04 email and it says shipping 26th - 3rd, while there is hope that it'll ship before and be here on or close to launch day, I'm trying not to get my hopes up that way there is no disappointment. I just keep telling myself I'll probably have it around the first of October.

My T Mobile order said I'll get it on 9/16

That being said I've only gotten 1 email from them and no charges or holds on my CC.

Sigh this is frustrating..

I think you'll be OK. In past pre-orders, I've had them charge and ship within 2 days of the arrival date

I guess my question was more one of:

1. If the phone ships in 6-8 days, why would it take so long to be delivered (27-29th) unless they're not overnighting them anymore

and 2. what are the chances of my window being moved up? Does this ever happen?

On your first point I am assuming that the ships 6-8 days is after the launch date of Sept 16 because then it would make sense by falling within the delivered dates of 27 - 29. It is a bit misleading because you would assume that it would start the shipping process next week.

On your second point I am in the same boat as you hoping to bumped up a bit. Could happen because I am sure there will be some orders that will be cancelled etc.

i remember when i got my iP4 a day before launch day, i was pretty shocked. you never know with shipping. it may show up earlier.
