Horizontal flashing lines?

I noticed flashing horizontal lines when I had to enter my password in the App Store. Is this a known software bug Or is it a hardware issue?

It's a common problem. It should be software, but I can't be sure.

I've seen it once. Haven't seen it since. To answer your question, no idea.

One guy I talked to at Apple said it was a hardware problem. Another two said it was a software issue. They recommend a restore, and if threat doesn't fix it they will replace the phone. I haven't had a chance to do a restore yet. I am curious if anyone did a restore and had the issue go away?

I've seen it a few times, along with screen dimming for no reason. I can't replicate it though. When the screen dims I just sleep and wake then it runs normal again.
