There's a horizontal green line on my macbook pro 15", Oct 2011 model. It's from the top to the bottom. Everything else is viewable, but it's always there. It's still under warranty. Would apple fix it? Can I fix it myself at home?

Thanks in advance for the help!

As long as there's no damage, your warranty will cover that. It's probably a problem with the display panel or the cable.

I'd be suspect of the display panel itself or the video card. To see whether its one or the other you can take a screenshot using the :apple:+shift+3 keyboard shortcut. A png file will appear on your Desktop. Double click it to open it in Preview, then see if the line is present in the screenshot or if it isn't. If it is, the issue lies with the video card. If it is not, the issue is with the display. Either way Apple should either be sending you a box or you can carry-in the system to a local service provider or Apple Store.
