Apple's attention to detail is a double edged sword. You love the products because they get little details right, but get those details wrong, and that love turns to hate.

Thus is the case with the horizontal volume bar. What the HELL?! Attention to detail is not just looking at a small thing and changing it arbitrarily. This is completely screwing with how I change the volume bar.

PLEASE, is there a way to bring back the vertical volume bar?! This is unacceptable.

If I remember correctly the main issue is that, with the vertical volume control, a user could click the volume symbol once and drag the volume control. Now it's a click and click again and drag...or at least a click, hover and mousewheel action.

For a very long time I've used USB audio devices that don't allow software volume adjustments. I have to turn a knob.

Frankly i'd prefer a knob.

This completely disrupts my workflow. I usually click, then move the cursor STRAIGHT DOWN, then scroll to adjust.
