Ok, I just installed tiger today, and noticed something funny. When in the terminal, my command line is shown as 'username@iMac:~ $'
Though then when I connect to a network or to the internet the host 'iMac' changes to either the computer's name Im directly connecting to remotely, or the IP of the ISP I just dialed up.
(ie. 'username@user123-323-23-2..:~$'
This week I'll be networking my 3 home computers together fully, and I'm thinking that this might be a problem if I want to set up a local share on this iMac. Does anyone know if this will be a problem?
Is there a way that I can change it so my host doesn't change when I connect?
Thanks in advance.
