my employer wants to move web hosts. We're currently with Verio and we've been having problems with ourp email for quite awhile and even thought they understand the problem there's little that they can do about it.

So anyways, i was wondering who you guys recommend and who to completely stay away from.

I was looking at hosts like Lunapages.com, oneworldhosting.com, olm.net, and aplus.net. Any help is really appreciated.

Thanks,
iLife. :D

Lunarpages

Assuming you mean "Lunarpages" and not "Lunapages" (maybe thats just slang ;)). But seriously, I would recomend them as I use them myself. They have really a nice and fast support; I think my record time of reply from them via email was about an hour or so. :)

i definitely meant lunarpages... my typing skills can be abismal at times. Thanks for the input. I was leaning towards them but wanted some more input from people before i moved hosts.

Thanks.

Before the ASO fanatics start.

http://www.surpasshosting.com/ - very active support community and no outages of my site - that I know about.

Can't really beat the cost either.

What sort of bandwith will you be requiring?

I'll need a decent sized bandwidth as I work for an ad agency and we use a client ftp program for comps, proofs, and delivering things to magazines, but nothing out of thsi world or unimaginable. I'll make sure to check out surpasshosting. thanks for your input.

If you don't mind your client/printers tapping into your internet connection bandwidth, why not use another mac/pc as a ftp server and then use no-ip to allow them to download directly from that server? rather than upload, then call your client to download. I understand all your files are rather huge, this might save you time if you have a good internet connection.

Edit: use the usual hosting companies for email though
