I just got an iPad mini. When I plug it in to charge, I noticed that sometimes the little square wall plug seems to get quite warm. The cord & plug in do not seem to get warm, just the square that plugs directly into the outlet. Is this normal or should I be concerned?
Also, I got a case for the iPad with a Bluetooth keyboard. The keyboard attaches inside the case magnetically. Will it hurt the iPad mini to be in the case without the
Keyboard? I'm thinking of how you aren't supposed to have magnets near computers, but maybe the iPads are different? There are times I would like to just leave the keyboard out.
Finally, when I first got the keyboard, I plugged it into my computer to charge it, since that is often how I charge my iPod. In a very short time, like less than 2 minutes, I smelled a burning smell and the cord was so hot I could hardly touch it! The keyboard seemed to be ok, but I haven't tried charging it since and it must have already been charged as it is still working. . I now realize that it seems the iPad doesn't charge on the computer, it just syncs, so I am wondering if the keyboard isn't supposed to plug into the computer at all. But should that cause such dangerous overheating? Recommendations?
Thanks for the help! I'm not too tech-y but love the mini!
