"Hot Hot Hot"

hysteria

macrumors newbie
This has been happening for a while on my MBP, the slightly older verson (2.16 ghz, 1gb ram). When I run World of Warcraft it get extreamly hot, even with the fans increased to 5500rpm it runs at almost 160f. It runs a little cooler with Call of Duty 2 but this still seems really hot. Is this normal or is sometinh very wrong? Thank you.

This is normal for a MBP - but not for a proper laptop which is designed to handle the power of it's internals, and certainly not for a 'Pro' machine. 160f is only the CPU temp - the real cause of alarm is the case temp that these machines can achieve.

Download Lobotomo's Fan Control and keep the fans running at a high speed, this will alleviate some of the temp issues.
