I know that the FAQ says that Thunderbolt Displays are NOT, and that you have to connect before start up. I have the opportunity to purchase a used 27 CINEMA display, but use it on an Thunderbolt port MBP.

Will that work, hot swappable? Is it the PORT that has the boot problem or the Special Cable or the Monitor?

I have all thunderbolt now and I had all cinema back in the day but have NOT tried to connect a Cinema to a TB port under windows and do not want to buy it if it wont work.

Anyone done it or knows for sure it does NOT?
