I'm staying at a hotel with internet you need to log in with a username & password thru a web based log in page.

Being new to Mac's I'm not sure how this works or if it's supposed to work like this but...it seems as though my 13" MBP I'll log in and then if I walk away for a few [10-15] minutes I'll have to log back in. Now on my buddies PC laptop he's been logged in for about 15-20 hours without having to log in using the web based log in page.

Is there some setting on my MBP that is putting my computer in more of a power saving mode than his or what? I'm not fully understanding how this Mac is working by going to sleep or what.

Not sure if there is, but is there a power saving option on the nics on MPB's?

Common issue on the Windows side of things as it's enabled by default in Windows.
