Hotels in Philly

I was lucky enough to score tickets to the Winter Classic this January. Now I need to book a hotel. I don't mind spending as this is probably going to be my winter vacation. I would like for a nice spa as well as near some nice restaurants/bars. Can anyone recommend something somewhat close the park or easy via public transportation.

I stayed at a Holiday Inn right near the Philly sports complex (I forget the address, but it's the only one there) and was able to walk to the Wells Fargo Center and passed right by Citizens Bank Park in doing so. It was a pretty nice hotel for the price.

I have to admit I didn't go bar hopping or anything while I was there, but being close to all of the sports venues, I can't imagine it being far from restaurants and bars.

Loews Philadelphia Hotel. I used to work there. Really nice hotel, restaurant and bar...top notch! Take a cab to the park. I'm sure the city will have some special bus service for the winter classic.
