Hotmail on 3GS, but not on 3G

When I got my 3GS, I put all my info in and I started getting my hotmail within maybe a minute. My wife has the older 3G and when I tried to put her settings in which are exactly the same as mine except for the username and password, the 3G will not connect to hotmail.

Anyone have any idea why, thanks in advance.

I dont think so. I have never done this and it works on my 3GS.

A while ago hotmail made it so that you could use pop and imap to access email and not the stupid only microsoft way. It wasnt too long ago, so if you were to try to make it work now on a 3G.... it would.
