Hotmail with Apple Mail on ML problem

I have my hotmail account on my apple mail app. I have mBox for mac and it links syncs with hotmail servers wonderfully. The only problem is that it will not let me send emails. It is saying that the outgoing server i am using is offline.

if anyone has any advice that would be wonderful!
