Hotmail with Mail

I feel like such a n00b, as i have been using my mac for about 2 years now and only just discovered that mail works with accounts that aren't .mac!

So i have set up my yahoo email address with it fine. but i also have a hotmail, does anybody know how to put these on?

Search versiontracker.com - there's a plugin you need called httpmail.

I believe there's an ap out there called httpmail - I run it and my Hotmail account works fine. I think there's a requirement that you have the Hotmail upgrade. Mine works without it, but my account was several years old (they let the older acccounts work with Mail/Entourage for free). Good luck!

i'm having trouble with syncing. if i delete mail in Mail, hotmail won't be updated. it's best to use the web, it's cleaner that way.

Don't worry about it - I'm sure loads of people are unwittingly doing the same thing with various programs!

I only realised how cool iCal was after nearly 2 years of using Macs. And i hear there's an update coming with leopard, can't wait!

GMail works fine for me with Mail, but I think the OP want's to use their existing email account
