Hello everybody

I have the following issue:

I'm using my iPhone (8 plus with latest iOS) as a hotspot for connecting my business notebook. On my notebook i'm starting a vpn tunnel to get into our network. This works fine for several minutes. But after some time (5-15 minutes) the notebook tells me that the vpn connection has been terminated and i'm not connected to wifi (iPhone) anymore. So the iPhone seems to disconnect and deactivate the hotspot.

To reconnect my notebook i have to reenable hotspot function on iPhone and reconnect notebook to wlan and vpn...

What i've already tried:
- different wlan (usb stick with sim card) - doesnt disconnect
- reset mobile data on iPhone - still same problems

does anybody of you have the same problem?

thanks

Hello!

There is for now, no way to keep the hotspot active if no device is connected. So, the best solution would be to connect to the hotspot via usb instead of connecting wirelessly, that way the connection keeps itself alive.

I hope that this solved your issue, and if you were to have any further questions - do not hesitate to ask!
