Hotspot question

I am wondering if there is any info about whether or not the $50 5gb data plan for AT&T will include tethering for the iPad 3.

I doubt it, for smartphones don't you have to have the $50 plan just to get tethering. I want to cancel my hotspot and just use my new iPad when I get it. Also I don't know if AT&T will even offer hotspot right at the start. It took when a while for iPhone tethering.
