i have ipad 3 with 3g sim, i am able to use hotspot on my macbook by wifi, and by bluetooth, but dont know how to use hotspot from ipad to macbook by USB cable,
Please guide me thoroughly

Enable "Personal Hotspot" on your iPad and connect via USB to your computer. Your MacBook should automatically detect/configure the internet connection. That's how it works with my iPhone 5 and my MacBook Pro anyway. Open the "Network" pane of System Preferences for more information. Perhaps manually adding the iPad USB interface manually?

in iPhone 5 and in iPad 3 while hotspot is on and connected to the macbook, in Network prefrences it shows not connected :(
