Back when I was on iOS 10 and earlier version of iOS 11, I could connect my iPhone 6S plus to a laptop via lightning cable and use iPhone as a hotspot, while iPhone is connected to WiFi. Thus using the WiFi the iPhone was connected to, instead of using Verizon data. This worked well only while tethered to iPhone via a cable.
The best part about it, is that iPhone worked as VPN, with out using a VPN network or software.

Now,I can’t use iPhones WiFi that it’s connected to, instead I’m using cellular data, even though I’m tethered via lightning cable.

Anyone has a solution?

Running latest iOS 11.4.1

Thanks in advance.
[doublepost=1535673644][/doublepost]Called Apple CSR, and the only solution they have for me at this time unfortunately, something I don’t want to do....Is to perform a full wipe and start from scratch.

Anyone else has a different solution?
