even if io is better on pro, on paper, it's no different
the 8/256 threshold wasn't even met in 2015 with the 13" pro, it was 8/128 and a nice $200 bump for a reasonable minimum space SSD. Spending a lot of money to match the base rMB. And they're now refurbs and EOL machines to hunt down
Also, two ports are nice and better than one. but an adapter seems to make having two ports not as big of a deal, especially for the 50% increase in weight,
