Been on my new 15" matte core i7 MBP for less than a day, and i hope they can hardware update this to older MBP's (I know it's doubtful). But this inertial scrolling is something I am really diggin' on my laptop, to me it's a small thing that makes a huge difference in many Apps & tasks.

Just downloaded smart scroll. Pretty cool but dosent seem to be as fluid as the new MBP's.

i really don't like it. it takes away from the control over scrolling. however, i do see how it can be useful for having to scroll really long documents, like excel spreadsheets.

Haha yeah, after about a half hour of using smart scroll im thinking about turning it off. I keep scrolling too far.

I recommend you persevere for a bit. Once you get the knack of stopping scrolling by pressing the pad again it is great.

Can't speak to app-driven smart scrolling, but the built in intertial scrolling rocks.

Love intertial scrolling.

REALLY HATE THE F@#%(*&ING STUPID ONE BUTTON TRACKPAD!!!!

I will have to put a friggin piece of tape over a part of it. It is so stupid.

That trackpads have been one button for a few years now...
