OK my friend has an old gps enabled samsung phone bought more than two years ago and he's showing in the maps very accurately compare to me, on iphone 4 4.3.5. Maps showing that I am some 20m away from my real location. How is this possible?

Please advice. Thanks.

Something might be wrong with your phone then.
All iphones I have used before 3G, 3GS and iphone 4 now showed my gps position very accuratelly within feet not miles away.
Make sure you get gps signal and not inside a building and try it again.
Also make sure location services are enabled.

My 3GS is usually pretty accurate outside, although occasionally, it has up to about 1000 ft displacement at first, then corrects after 5-10 minutes. But, usually, it zeros in right away. Indoors is another matter. It is often offset by about 1 mile or so.
