I'm looking to buy a couple lightning cables and came across some flat cables. Are they stiff and hard to use? Looking for comments from people who have used them. Thanks!

I have and use them. They are designed not to tangle. They also feel very nice.
I recommend:
MFI Certified Lightning to USB Cable Black/Gray (Length 1m) for iPhone 5 / 5s / 5c, iPad 4, iPad air, iPod nano and all Apple Lightning Devices

If there's one thing about apple that I absolute HATE, it's their chargers. Namely, the material the cords are coated with. They're a nightmare and constantly tangle and grip and grab and drive me nuts. Then I found flat cables like the ones linked here and there is significantly less frustration from my cables now. I recommend.

It just seems like the flat cables the lighting connector side seems bigger compared to the round cables. Just afraid future cases I purchase might not fit that hole.
