How are Refurbished prices determined at the Mac Store?

I just bought a refurbished Late-11 15" MBP for $1360 online and it said it was $240 off. Are the Late 11 models that are still new on sale for $1600? Shouldn't it be $440 off of the original $1800?

Just trying to figure out what all my options are for buying a MBP. Thanks
