Who has upgraded? How have you found it? iOS 11 had been a bit of a train-wreck for me. I have to reboot my phone if not daily, then every other day to sort some issue or another. I've never known an iPhone to regularly freeze up so that even the home button doesn't work.
Knowing that iOS and watchOS share the same core, I didn't want to put 4.0 anywhere near my watch.
What are your experiences? Also let me know what model you're using. I have an S0 and S2.

I have an S2. WatchOS 4 seriously slowed it down. E.g. 2 seconds to show watch face, crashing apps, notifications getting “stuck” halfway upon scrolling up, hideous lag all over the place. I unpaired and re-paired my watch and it was better for a while, but it eventually slowed down again. It’s slow to the point of being distracting vs. unusable for me so I’m going to sell it. I compared it to an S1 on watchOS 3, and the S1 was way faster with everything. I’m not sure why my experience with the S2/OS4 has been so bad as others haven’t reported such extreme behavior.

I’ve also experienced problems with ios 11 on my phone: freezes, app crashes, locked out of the music app and had to delete all the music off it to just launch the music app, etc. Maybe the watch and phone problems are related.

I now have an S3 LTE, which is amazing. It feels 4x faster vs. my S2 on watchOS 4.

I would stay on watchOS 3.
