I'm pretty upset with this update because I wanted to buy a 20" iMac with a LED backlit display, but it's LCD. How bad are these monitors?? I really don't want a 24" because It's a little too big for me.

I do light video editing, iphoto, but the computer will primarily be used for Garageband.

is the 20" lcd display really that bad? I see so much negative feedback that it's not LED.

its a TN panel... and for your use it is fine...

not recommended for graphic intensive work.... but since ur more into the audio stuff you should be fine. no worries...

thanks for the quick reply. I'm probably gonna go for the new imac, unless I can find benchmarks that convince me that the older model is better.. haha

there are only minor improvements in performance compared to the old imacs cuz they are using the same chips... if ur on a tight budget... i'd stick with a refurb imac and save some dough.
