Is there a way to measure how big the palm rest area is? Or does anyone know how big it is compared to the 11" Air and 13-inch MBA/rMBP?

I believe I read that the trackpad is nearly as big as the one on 13-inch Macs. I guess my one major gripe when I had the 11" Air years ago was that the small palm rest area sometimes made it uncomfortable for typing. Where as the space has always been perfect on 13" Macs. I think the area on the 12" rMB is bigger compared to the 11" Air, but I could be wrong.

Not really worried about the keyboard myself. From what we have heard about it and how it works, I think I'll adjust quickly. That's definitely going to vary from individual to individual, though.

You could probably get workably accurate dimensions by taking the top-down view on the Apple web site and working backward from the known dimensions for width and depth.
