how can check iphone are real or fake?(with serial number)

i got iphone but im not sure it fake or real iphone because they ship from china..(im going to buy it but not sure to buy it cuz it may fake iphone)
i got serial number at the back of iphone and using *#06#
what is apple site i can find that iphone are resisgter? or real iphone? by using serial number?

I may be wrong (somebody please correct me if I am) but I think they all come from China.

They all come from factories in China. But from the looks of it, he's not ordering from the factory. :p Even though the majority of any product is manufactured in China, the country still holds like the most number of fake products as well.

Where are you buying this iPhone from exactly? Are we talking ebay or something else? If it's ebay may i suggest you pay via paypal, and before that check out the sellers ratings/feedback. If it is a store, check for reviews on the store if possible.
 
The serial number is on the back of the iPhone or printed on the iPhone box. On all GSM phones when you press *#06# or whatever the string is, you get the IMEI, which is a different number, and will not be recognized on the apple website.

No, not the IMEI. On the back of the iPhone, underneath the word iPhone and above the box that says 8GB or 16GB or 4GB or whatever, there should be three numbers (at least US market ones have FCC ID, Serial #, IMEI). The middle one should be the Serial Number. It should say Serial No.: followed by an 11-digit alphanumeric code. The same number should come up in iTunes when you plug the phone in.
 
If shipping from China from third party (not Apple) it's most likely to be fake. Small chance that it's real but it would be stolen. People from China who wants an iPhone actually have to get it from the US or Europe.

If he can only see IMEI number he's bought a fake one.

The only thing more <silly> is when a buyer take a look at the real Apple iPhone and asks if it fake. (Yes I had someone asked me that, LOL).
 
You don't need to read the serial off the case.
Power it up and go to Settings - General - About
Serial number is right there below the software version number.

i found out that is fake iphone
i spoken the seller and he said he bought 3 those "iphone" for $120 which i found out they are HIphone >.>
anyway not going to buy it.. because i can get 8G from official next week :)
 
Good thing you didn't buy the fake ones, because they feature:

- Smaller AND lower resolution LCD
- Fewer icons than 16 icons available (due to smaller screen)
- Slower processor
- "Additional features" that are hard to access (if they work)
- Touchscreen that responds only to stylus input or requires buttons to navigate; or for those with actual touch screens, poor performing touch screen (sometimes requires multiple touches to do something)
- No multi-touch
- No Wifi
- Poor construction
- Short expected life (just like the Rollex made of cheap parts)
- No real iPhone apps
- No Safari browser
- No integrated syncing
- No iTunes syncing
- And many more handicaps

your correct, apple doesnt make a peice of HW on their own

iphones, ipods and itouches are made by Hon Hai in Shenzhen China.

guess where counterfeit pods are made? OH THE SAME PLACE!! probably next door.

No, unfortunately the knockoffs are not from the same place.

The knockoffs are not using the same parts, not using the same designs, not using the same software, and of very poor quality.
