How can I access my old PC hard drive (SATA) with my MBP?

Hey guys, i'm hoping this is an easy question.

When I sold my old desktop PC i took out the SATA hard drive (WD1600JS). My question is how can I access that drive without buying a external drive enclosure?

What cables will I need? I just want to hook it up and see what's on it and completely erase the drive so I can give it away. I don't even have to see what's on it, i'm more concerned with erase the info.

I have access to a PC at work if this has to be done with a PC and not my MBP

Your best bet is to get an external drive enclosure.

These sorts of things will give you quick, temporary access to a variety of drives, including SATA drives:

Serial ATA (SATA) or IDE 2.5" and 3.5" to USB 2.0 Cable Converter Adapter

You can often find different brands on sale, somewhere on the Web...
