How Can I Add Text in iMovie?

I'd love to add text like the kind shown in the photo example i've included. I'm not big of a fan with the presets included in iMovie 09*. I want the freedom to add text (like the example in the photo) in any font, size, color and screen placement I want.

I hope i'm missing the obvious here cause I just don't know.

lol.
