How can I adjust the camra

Can anyone help how do I adjust the focus on my 4s as I am unable to read text when I take pictures

Iphone 4s

This was the first thing I tried I used to have the iPhone 3G and had no problems but this new 4s will not focus on text or patterns

Then there must be something wrong with your 4S. I just tested on the 4S I got 4 days ago, it worked fine. Just tap it softly on the screen where you want to focus and it focuses for you.

If not try a restore, if that doesn't work take it back or take it to Apple.

sounds weird, press and hold to lock focus..
maybe try a different app like cam plus to see if the same happens

Thank all for your kind responses I've tried all the above even got cam plus
It must be dodgy will take it into apple store
