i've been researching and learned that you can use automator "connect to servers" which works for afp/smb/nfs servers, but since webdav starts with http it ends up trying to open a URL.

Mounting and dragging to "login" works, but that always opens finder when I boot which is annoying

Any ideas?

thanks

What happens when you use "hide item" in login items?

I used automator to make an app to do this. Then I put the app in my login items. A screen shot of the workflow is attached. The only 'trick' part for me was figuring that you need the webdav word at the end of the server info http://ServerName/webdav
