If I buy an iPhone 3GS 32GB with a 2 year contract for $299. Can I cancel AT&Ts service within 30 days from activation without returning the phone or paying the early termination fee or any other fee.

i hope you can. i might go down to the porsche dealer and see if they'll give me a brand new car then cancel the agreement within 30 days and keep the car without paying them anything.

genius idea:rolleyes:

yeah its basically like getting a $400 discount with absolutely no obligation to ATT. Last I checked ATT didn't write $400 checks to people without getting their signitures in blood and taking their firstborn.

You can always cancel after 30 days and not pay anything and then get your credit ruined.

I don't think you're credit will get ruined if you cancel after 30 days but you'll be on the hook for a heavy ETF

ROTFL! That made my day!

I wonder how old the OP is. Why do people think they are so entitled?

Wow. I know if you can prove to phone companies that you are in the service and are being deployed they will let you out of contracts but I don't think they'd let you keep free/subsidized hardware.

Thats pretty simple. You can avoid it by paying the ETF

You can do whatever you want and pay as much or as little you want. You'll just have to deal with the reprecussions with whatever you decide :)
