i just got back from replacing my iphone. it was only 1.5 days old so i didnt make a backup of my old iphone. ive tried going to settings and changing it from there but it is already set to australia and the stores are still american.
i even tried restarting it after i updated the firmware and resetting the phone to australian but still nothing.
does anyone know what i can do?

i think by me logging on to my australian itunes account on my mac fixed the problem. i was previously logged on my us account.
