i have a thunderbolt 1 SSD which I bought just before my 2011 imac died, and I have got an adaptor for it to plug into my thunderbolt 3 slot. I dithered about using it as my os x drive instead of my fusion drive but tbh the fusion is fast enough. however windows is of course completely on the hard drive.
I tried before, but failed. bootcamp of course wants to remove my internal bootcamp, but I want to move it to the SSD, can I just clone it or copy it? I seem to remember trying to install it there using bootcamp before but it didn't see the drive.
