How Can I Connect Wireless?

I have a * imac
* laptop with usb wireless adapter
* wl-500g premium wireless-function router
* Modem

i want to know if i can connect wireless using the router without connecting any wires on my imac. do i need a usb wireless adapter for my imac or does it come with wireless connections already on it?
