I have a few GIF files that I need to crop. I am relatively new to the iBook. Is there a program I can use? I tried AppleWorks Paint program but I couldn't figure out how to crop/erase something. AHH!

The lowly Preview application can do this, if you can believe that. Just open the GIF (or PDF, or JPG, or PNG, or whatever) in Preview, and drag over the part of the image you want, then choose Copy and New from Clipboard. Presto - cropped image!

In addition to Preview, you may also use GraphicConverter in demo mode.
