Hi there,

I'm really hoping someone can help me with this problem: Would it be possible to get the text from my word file? It's a password protected .doc file that suddenly i'm unable to open. Word says: problems with the content, unspecified error, location 2 after i gave the password. When I open it with word's 'recover text from any file' option, i get encoded text. Would there be a possibility for someone or maybe Microsoft itself to decode it for me? Maybe software that would be able to decode the file? I am very grateful to anyone who could suggest some solution.

thanks
Tq

No, decoding won't help even if you could find something to do it. With the file being corrupted that means even the encoded parts recovered are likely still corrupt and meaningless. You're better off trying to find a tool to fix the file. I don't know any off hand though for Mac.
