I've been desperately searching the forums with hope of finding a solution that doesn't involve losing the phone function of my iPhone. When I try to simply hold shift, click restore, and select a downloaded version of 1.1.1, I keep getting an error. I am assuming apple has finally attempted to stop downgrading, but if you guys can continually hack the iPhone, I'm sure somebody has found a way to safely downgrade back to 1.1.1 or 1.1.2.

There are ways to downgrade over on modmyiphone but a iPhone that is 1.1.2 OOTB can't be downgraded yet once you have 1.1.3 on it, that's what I understand anyways.

what do u mean by 1.1.2 OOTB?
I was never on 1.1.2. I went straight from 1.1.1 to 1.1.3

so after I downgrade to 1.1.1 in recovery mode, how can I get out of recovery mode? The site suggests I run apptapp, but the version posted only works with firmware 1.0.1 or 1.0.2. Does anyone have a link for apptapp 1.1.1 or 1.1.2?
