I am trying to mic my helmet. I have a headset like this http://www.nextag.com/Cyber-Acoustics-AC-200-229415/prices-html
as you see it has a mic cord and a speaker cord. I would like to know if there is any kind of adapter out there like a Y-adapter with 3rings on the 3.5mm input so it will work on my Iphone. I have tried the earbud from apple but the mic sucks. I know some of you have ran accross this problem or not, or what type of audio place I can go to get something like that made to work on a Iphone
Thanks
Simuel

I have yet to find anything like for that situation either. All the adapters include microphone, instead of allowing us to use our own. I'm interested because I have an Aviation headset that I like to use for music and would love to be able to use the built in boom mic to talk on the phone, but the only adapters I've found are for regular cell phone headset jacks.

bump...found this thread after Googling. Any updates? Does a product like this exist yet?
