How can I find / look up my iPhone serial number?

How can I find / look up my iPhone serial number? It's a 2G and I don't have my iphone on me. But, I have created a back-up on my itunes

I can only answer if you are using a Mac.

If so go to iTunes>preferences>devices

Then if you hover your cursor over the backup it will show you the serial no along with imei no
