Hey guys. I'd like to know what my connection speed is, so I can see if I'm getting what my ISP advertises I should get. My connection seems really slow. It stinks because everyone in my area has the same ISP, and I bet that slows it down being on the same network.

I have RoadRunner from Time Warner Cable. Man I wish I could get Verizon FIOS!

Thanks guys!

Thanks guys. But wait!...

I've done both tests a bunch of times each, the average of all the times I've tried is about 1,700 kbps.

Are those bad #'s for RR Cable?

Jeez.. I get 10242 kbps download and 1128 kbps upload and this test was donw while I am downloading torrents.

This is with comcast basic cable internet.

Zack

sometimes I get 30,000kbps with speakeasy.net speedtests

Thanks guys. But wait!...

It depends what RR plan you have.

Basic RR=1.5M down/384k Up
Standard RR=6M Down/512k up
Extreme RR=10M Down/1M up

I know my brother was paying for RR Extreme but when I was over his house, I did a speedtest and he was only getting 4M download. He called Time Warner and they came out and had to get some cabling fixed. His downloads are almost always a little over 9M.
