I take a picture with my iPhone and want to view it on my iMac in Photos. Unfortunately, photos has not sync'd yet so I can't view it. Is there a way to force photos on my iMac to sync? fwiw, the photos are on my phone and I logged into my iCloud account and the photos are there. I just need them to sync with my Mac. Very frustrating. At the bottom of the screen, it says "last sync'd yesterday". I've read a number of articles that talk about a "sync now" option and I just don't see that in either my phone or my Mac.

Probably it's not the Mac, it the phone hasn't uploaded to iCloud yet.
Photos app > touch the avatar in the top right, there you can see sync status & "Resume" if it's paused (which it sometimes will be, to save battery)

I did log into iCloud and the photos were there. Plus, the Mac said it hadn’t synced since yesterday.

I have found in the last few months iCloud to be buggy when syncing photos. The same goes for notes.
When I update them sometimes parts of the old notes show up even after I have deleted them in the cloud.

Something has changed because it never used to be like this.
