hey guys i downloaded ios5 from the dev center but how can i get it actually downloaded to my phone? i downloaded the 10.5 beta of itunes as well.
 
  1. Pull the IPSW file from the downloaded DMG.
  2. Install iTunes 10.5 beta.
  3. Sync and backup your phone.
  4. Ensure you've added your UDID to your provisioned device list.
  5. Connect your phone.
  6. Click on the device in iTunes (left panel).
  7. Hit Option + Restore.
  8. Choose the new ISPW file you downloaded.

where can i check for my provisioned device list?
 
I just did started this (using the alt+restore option) so I'm waiting for it to finish. It said it will erase my iPad. How will I put all of my apps/data back on? I did a backup before I started installing iOS 5... Can I restore the apps using the backup somehow?

When your device reboots and iTunes detects it, you'll have the option to set it up as a new device or restore it from a backup.
