How can I hide a partition from desktop in 10.4 Tiger

Hi I have three partitions on my drive. I wish to keep two private and allow one to be seen by everyone.

I see there is a fix for this using terminal for 10.5 but cannot see anything for Tiger.

Can anyone please assist me?
