I have an early 2008 black model MacBook (2GB, 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor). I want to make my internet connection through wi-fi faster because it significantly slows down when someone I share a connection with uses her MacBook Pro simultaneously. Would getting more RAM make my internet connection faster? If not, what can I do to improve the speed? TIA!

hi, more ram wont make your connection faster, although you cant go wrong by upping your ram. you could try this though;

http://code.google.com/p/namebench/

the first time i used it i found a significant difference in my connection speed. also i use this app periodically and keep my dns servers 'up to date'
hope this helps you.

Your internet connection will only be as fast as the bandwidth your service offers. When multiple people get on, it will slow down, especially if it's not a faster connection to begin with. Nothing you can really do about that other than upgrade your service.
